Key CRM features for your business

Share:

The implementation of a CRM system has increased significantly in the corporate world, especially among the fastest-growing companies. If your business is growing and you haven't yet adopted this system, you need to put it on your radar.

Discover some of the features of this platform that can increase your sales and expand your business.

Contact management

A CRM system transforms the old spreadsheet into an online system, eliminating information convergence and data duplication. Furthermore, all information is stored in one place, reducing time wasted searching for it and allowing for easy access.

Managing dates and appointments

With CRM, it's possible to create a to-do list and automate reminders for upcoming appointments. This way, calls, meetings, and other sales promotion activities aren't forgotten. It also allows for greater collaboration and a better division of tasks among teams.

Reports

This is perhaps the area where the platform most demonstrates its importance. Financial forecasts, budget decisions, employee management, and sales strategies are all aided by a CRM's ability to extract all the information recorded within it and present it in a simple and personalized way.

Document management

All documents that can be used in sales activities will be stored in one place, always up-to-date and easily accessible. Templates, resources, and contracts will be available to the entire team and can be sent out through the system.

Billing

A CRM doesn't replace accounting software, but it enables the generation of more predictive reports, showing information about current offers and discounts. It's very important that the CRM integrates with the accounting software!

Open API

Most CRMs have open APIs so you can configure your website, app, or system to integrate directly with the platform. This allows customer records to be created automatically, right after a purchase or email sequences occur outside the system.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: LEAD LIFECYCLE

With all lead information being automatically imported and utilizing all available resources, the result will be the ability to manage a potential client until the sale, regardless of the time required. However, there are some steps to achieve this:

1 – Lead qualification: Having all customer information in an enhanced format makes it possible to determine buyer profiles, that is, the characteristics shared by your customers in successful sales actions. Contacts that do not fit or are far from these requirements can be automatically discarded.

2 – Marketing Campaigns: The idea that the sales team should contact a lead who only requested more information about their product or service has been replaced by marketing funnels, which help to understand the lead's actual stage in the sales process and when it's best to approach them for a sale. For example, someone who contacts you and says their job title is "marketing coordinator" probably won't be responsible for the final purchase decision. However, this lead can be nurtured with marketing content that helps them in their work. Over time, they will realize that your company is an authority on the subject and may be more interested in what you offer. It is at this point that the lead should be transferred to the sales team, who can then meet with a director or CEO. With CRM, teams complete the entire process without bothering the client with incessant contacts and without wasting time on unproductive meetings.

3 - Follow-up: A key part of the previous point is tracking customer actions. A lead may have shown interest in various pieces of content and accessed the pricing page, demonstrating a much higher propensity to buy. This information needs to be constantly analyzed to understand where the consumer is in the buying journey and to approach them at the right time.

4 – Sale Completed: CRM needs to support the sales process from start to finish. The platform should not only help generate more leads, but also convert more leads and gain insights into opportunities.
