Oxygen Systems takes over operations focused on developing localization and tax solutions for the Oracle/NetSuite cloud-based enterprise management system.
Sonda has just created a new company (a spin-off, in industry jargon) from its former internal operation focused on the Netsuite cloud-based management software, named Oxygen Systems.
Sonda, an IT services and solutions integrator, has transferred its Oracle/NetSuite tax solutions development and localization area to Oxygen Systems, a newly launched operation in Brazil. The new company will operate under the Oxygen Systems Powered by Sonda brand. The goal is to leverage the new operation based on the Chilean integrator's market recognition in tax solutions and its status as the company whose tax software is responsible for calculating 64% of the federal tax burden processed in the country.
The spin-off process at Sonda aims to provide greater agility and focus in serving Oracle/NetSuite ERP clients. “Our concern is to promote specialized support for the Oracle/NetSuite client base. Oxygen Systems was created exclusively to support these organizations,” explains José Freire Neto, former Sonda executive, where he served as head of the NetSuite practice and founder of Oxygen Systems.
For the start of operations, more than 22 hours of development were invested. “The partnership with Sonda will be vital for our process of developing and maintaining tax solutions, providing information on legal changes, as well as business process outsourcing (BPO) services for generating ancillary tax obligations. In return, Sonda will be able to use our software factory for specific developments,” Freire points out.
Oxygen operates within Inovaparq (Joinville and Region Technological Innovation Park), where Sonda's Joinville branch is also located, which will facilitate synergy between operations. “With the spin-off process, Oxygen will be able to give proper focus to clients and Oracle/NetSuite with the agility that a startup can offer, while Sonda continues to dedicate itself to its target market, which is large companies, and its business objectives, such as integration and digital transformation projects,” concludes Eduardo Borba, president of Sonda.
